Faxes
Managing Faxes
All new results delivered from Orderable laboratories, which are not Concert Genetics partners, will be displayed in your Faxes Inbox. Results will be filtered by the date and time received. In addition to the date and time, the fax number from where the result originated will be provided and the possible lab the result came from. Initially, all fax numbers will be listed as Unknown, but as you begin assigning fax numbers to laboratories, the Concert Platform will learn and automatically list the possible lab linked to that fax number (see below).

Within the Faxes Inbox you will assign incoming reports to the appropriate patient and test order. As your institution is provided with a dedicated fax number for results to be sent, it is possible you will find spam or other unwanted documents included within your inbox. To remove those documents from your Inbox, click on the 'Archive' button.
Unarchiving Results
To access an archived test result, under the Faxes Inbox, click on the dropdown and switch from Pending to Archived. Once in the Archived box, click the Unarchive button next to the specific result you wish to unarchive, and the result will be returned to the Pending inbox.

Assigning a Result to a Patient and Order
To assign an incoming result to a patient and test order, click on the 'Assign' button. The report will be displayed on the left side of the screen and all potential patients and test orders will be listed on the right. As the Concert Platform begins linking fax numbers to possible labs, only test orders from those laboratories will be displayed, simplifying the assignment process.

To assign a report to the test order, click on the 'Select' button next to the appropriate test (see above). Once you select the appropriate patient, you will be prompted to provide some additional information to summarize the results of the test, including the result and the status of the report (see below). If you would prefer to not capture the result of the test in the platform, select 'Skip Classification'.

After completing the requested information, hit 'Save'. At this point the report will be linked to the appropriate patient and test, and will move from the Faxes folder to the Results folder on the relevant order’s Submit and Manage page, where users who don't have permission to access the Faxes folder will be able to access it.
