Submit and Manage
Workflow
Once the order is submitted, the next step is to document the Specimen Collection Details. Document the collection date and time (both fields are required), along with the optional specimen type, accession # and additional id #. Click ‘Submit’ once complete.

Once the specimen collection information is documented, the next step is to document that the order has been sent to the performing lab. Click ‘Mark as Sent’ to document the date sent to the lab.

For orderable (non-partner labs), the next step of the workflow will be to Match Result Upload with Order. When returned to your institution, the result will be found in the Faxes folder. To access, click ‘Go to Faxes’. For partner lab orders, this step will not be listed.

When the result has been assigned for orderable labs or uploaded by partner labs, the ‘View/Download Results’ step will illuminate. Click ‘View’ to view/download the result or to mark it as processed.

Results
Uploading Results To manually upload a result to the order, click ‘Upload Result’ . The user can then select the file, complete the date and time received, the status of the result and the indicator. All of these fields are required. Once complete, click the ‘Upload Result’ button.

Reclassifying results For any results that have been assigned to the 'Skipped' classification, you can re-assign those results to a new classification. To reclassify the result, click on the button with the pen, then from the popup window, select the appropriate classification and click 'Save'. Once the result is re-classified, the status will be updated and the pen button will disappear as that result is no longer listed as 'Skipped'.

Marking as processed The Mark Processed feature was developed to enable institutions/users to track when results have been processed through the institution's established workflow of uploading results to EHR/LIMS. Users who simply want to access the results can either view or download the report. For the user who is processing the result, he/she can view or download the report within the Details page, then click the 'Mark Processed' button. You will then be able to filter in the Resulted dashboard by those orders that have been processed versus those which haven't.
Please note 'Mark Processed' is a permission in the Admin area, so only designated users will have access to this feature.

Attachments
Attachments will show all documents uploaded to the order. Users can also upload documents to the order from here by indicating the file type then selecting the document for upload.
